Firefox Plugins

November 21, 2007 – 9:35 pm

Some Firefox plugins are must haves and others are memory hogs that can bog down our favorite browser. To help troubleshoot my projects I have used the Web Developer plugin and am starting to use Firebug as well. I have a plugin to add links to my del.icio.us account, for entertainment I love StumbleUpon, and I have come to rely on Forecastfox when deciding what to wear on my bike ride to work in the mornings. Which plugins do you find indispensable and which do you avoid like the plague?

  2. For alignment, I really like firebug–I know you have already mentioned it. It doesn’t let you save out your edits, but you can make minor adjustments or troubleshoot with ease. The only caution I have is that it interferes with Gmail. I have had Gmail unable to delete spam, etc when firebug is on–I don’t know what causes this but it’s best to turn off Gmail when starting up firebug.
